Spanish for Pharmacy

This is an ideal course for Pharmacy and other Health Science Majors.

Teach vocabulary related to pharmaceutical concepts
- Anatomy & Physiology
- Disease pathology
- Medical Terminology
- Uses of specific medications
- Active ingredients, dosage, secondary effects etc.
Participate in role-play exercises to improve communication with patients, or pharmacy technicians
- Describe people and actions, provide advice and suggestions, ask for and give information, inform patients about proper usage of medication
Discuss medical prescriptions, describe the organization and distribution of a pharmacy, OTCs (Healthcare stores), and public and private hospitals
Distinguish the differences between the Spanish and American healthcare and pharmaceutical systems, using both formal and informal language

This course is offered to students with a B1-B2 level of Spanish.
