The Spanish Civil War

Objectives:

  • Students will utilize first-hand accounts, propaganda, artwork, and literary pieces to master political concepts and historical vocabulary.

Themes and Topics:

  • Causes, catalysts and growth of the Spanish civil war
  • The effect propaganda had on the Spanish civil war
  • Postwar challenges and its cultural and social significance.
  • Women´s role in the war.
  • The Spanish civil war´s impact on art and the film industry.

This course is primarily offered to students with a B2 language-level due to its thematic and technical historical content.
